We had the most wonderful dining experience at Sage! The food and the service were excellent, and the space is gorgeous, relaxing and spacious. We celebrated our engagement and they brought us a fun dessert with a sparkler! Would highly recommend dining at Sage and already looking forward to returning.

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Cabo! The food was so made with so many fresh ingredients, great flavors and something different from the usual traditional faire here. A special shot out on the fried chicken which was excellent, juicy and complimented with fresh side side, a perfect combo! We thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommend and will be back!

One of my absolute favorites and must try’s in Downtown San Jose! The mix of flavors, the ambiance of the restaurant, the colorful and unique dishes just makes it all the more special. Every dish was absolutely delicious! Perfect for a family dinner or a romantic date night. Definitely can’t wait to be back!

Perfection in every way from cuisine to service to ambience to wine pairing. I enjoyed the calamari, the truffle pasta, and the cardamom dessert, along with wines suggested by the manager. All fantastic. The service was warm and genuine, and the ambience was a chill, uplifting vibe. This is a MUST DINE in San Jose del Cabo.

Great food! Everything was really tasty. All the waiters were very friendly but not the most attentive as I think maybe they were understaffed and waits were kind of long for food. However, they did comp us the dessert and coffee since we waited a long time which was appreciated! The flow of service seemed a bit awkward at times but maybe it was a new person on the job. (Had to keep asking for water refill). All in all, would still come back for the food and atmosphere! Nice ambiance and decor in the restaurant.

After much research, we chose this amazing place! The venue is beautiful & serene... bring a wrap to stay warm or request a table-side heater. But yes, the place is fabulous - including peeks into the kitchen & bar. The menu... the top half are incredible appetizers... we chose the oysters & Brussels & we also chose our main dishes - the Sage chicken & Linguine Nero with grilled bread and a cocktail to start with a bottle of local red wine to accompany dinner. Before anything arrived, we were offered chickpea chips and dip. So tasty & a nice way to kick off the evening. Service was excellent, the wine & cocktail superb, but the star of the show was the Sage chicken... off the chart good! We’ve never ever had anything so good. Absolutely perfect!!! We split dessert- the plantain cake - exquisite!! Beautiful, well-appreciated meal and experience. Highly, highly recommend!! Thanks Miguel & team!

This restaurant is amazing!! The beets blew my mind but everything was outstanding. Definitely get the side of bread. Some of the best bread I’ve ever had and I am a bread baker lol. Jesus was our waiter and he was so kind and helpful and he recommended his favorite dessert - the gelato - and it was AMAZING.

We dined at Sage this evening. I was a little hesitant having read reviews about great food but poor service. Thankfully, that was not our experience at all! Miguel and the entire team provided amazing service, from quickly removing unused place settings to refilling our glasses with sparkling water to checking in with us after each course was served. The setting is beautiful with thoughtful lighting and music at a volume that permits you to have a conversation with your dining companions. Miguel also provided fantastic advice about his favorite menu items and he did not steer us wrong. I started with one of the most unique cocktails I have ever had - the Hierba Caliente. It came garnished with a burning sage leaf and as you sipped the mezcal drink, you inhaled the smoke from the smoldering herb. It made for an impressive presentation- diners at the next table asked what my cocktail was. My dining companion had the Kairo, which was essentially a mandarin margarita. He enjoyed it. We split the sauteed calamari to start. A unique presentation and flavor profile that was not deep fried - delicious. We then split the truffle trottole pasta (all pasta is made fresh in house) and the pan roasted totoaba. With each bite, we were was saying “mmmm” in unison. We took home some of the pasta (it was a generous portion) in order to save room for dessert. As with so much on Sage’s menu, the dessert was unique and well thought out. Plantain cake/ bread was served with caramel sauce, ice cream with fried plantains for garnish. The warm cake with the cold ice cream and the crunch of the fried plantains added temperature and textural contrast to the dish. We ate every bite. Dinner for two (2 cocktails, 1 beer, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert) cost approximately US200 including tip. Not an inexpensive meal but well worth it for the quality of the food , ambience and service. I would be a regular at Sage if I lived in San Jose del Cabo.
